Forgot to share this lovely coffee that we had from Pharmacie Roasters from Hove during Christmas. It’s from Ywangan in Myanmar, it was packed with delicious blueberries leaving you with a really hefty mouthfeel, no doubt it’s on my favourite list!

Just enjoyed another film from Pedro Almodóvar, ‘Los amantes pasajeros’ (or I’m So Excited! as it’s the English title). I feel like on a way this is the kind of films that put him on the map, it seems to have lots of controversy, as I can see on the reviews but if you want a silly comedy to spend a good Friday afternoon, this one won’t disappoint you.

Tonight, we’ve watched Moonstruck, just like every year at Christmas and just like always it was magical. “It’s Cosmo’s moon! The Moon that I was talking about, at dinner…”, “In that light, with that expression on your face, you look about 25 years old.” ✨💫

Just thinking about how delicious was this recipe from Diana Henry ‘North African seven vegetable couscous’ that we had a few weeks back. Full of colours, it just reminds me of so many stews that we had growing up and the similarities with Andalucian cuisine.

Just like that the week is nearly over, nothing beats Sketches of Spain from Miles Davis on a Thursday night.

Earlier on this week we went to our favourite sea side retreat, we had an awesome day walking along the sea, eating delicious food and having a cup of delicious filter coffee, what else can you ask for?

As part of our family tradition, we’ve got our first pies of the year at Goddards. We started doing this around 3 years ago and it’s my favourite thing of Autumn. They might not look so photogenic but trust me, they are delicious.

Feeling a bit nostalgic today, thinking about family back home…

Yesterday we managed to get a little bit of a break from work and home stuff, we went to stare at the sea and had a delicious lunch. For sure if we can, we need more seaside trips.

Goodbye my little Skippy, you’ve been the absolute best friend, we will always remember you. Wherever you are now, we love you.

Just thinking about how nice it was our last dip in Brighton last week. It was a mega fun day out, having a picnic and jumping in and out of the water.

In this very warm day, I’m listening to Los Payos - Maria Isabel and feeling a bit nostalgic about my childhood summers.

Enjoying a lovely hibiscus ice tea from Good and Proper Tea. Love it’s ruby-red colour and the zinginess taste it has!

Today’s lunch was just summer on a plate. Ripe and juicy peaches, sweet basil, avocados, amazing Italian pear tomatoes full of flavour and lovely mozzarella di bufala. You couldn’t ask for anything that tasted more like summer.

Just thinking about yesterday’s trip to the allotment to pick some berries, it was such a great treat. I’ve only discovered gooseberries about a year ago, they’re just so delicious sharp and sweet at the same time. For whoever that has not had them before, you’re missing out.

Today, lovely Niçoise salad which is also a total star for a summer day like today.
